K-pop Concert Day Rules in Korea: What to Bring, Filming, Light Sticks (2026)
Last checked: 2026-10-31
Quick answer
- Bring your original passport, a charged phone and your mobile ticket, opened before you leave. Screenshots are refused at some events.
- Your ID must match the booking. Many shows check every guest, then give you a wristband you must keep on.
- Rules change per show, so read your show's notice. The examples here are from 2026 official notices.
- Filming is banned at most shows we checked. Breaking the rule can get you removed, with no refund. A few events allow phones.
- Travel light. Big bags and suitcases can be refused.
Checklist
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| A few days before | Read the show's notice and the ticket page again. Check for venue changes |
| The day before | Pair your light stick if self-pairing is open. Fit new batteries. Open or download your mobile ticket |
| Morning | Leave suitcases at your hotel. Charge your phone and bring a power bank if the notice allows it |
| Before doors | Go to goods, then ID check. Admission times differ by ticket type and section |
| Before the start | Be in your seat. Entry may be refused once the show begins |
At the gate
- Identity check: NOL World's page for ENHYPEN's Seoul show says every guest is verified on site, through Face Pass or at the IN-PASS booth. DAY6's page says you get in only if the booking and ID match perfectly.
- Which ID: use your passport. JX's Incheon notice lists a passport or alien registration card, and says the ID must belong to the ticket holder and be unexpired. The BTS notices we read reject copies, photos and screenshots.
- Mobile ticket: both NOL pages say tickets are redeemed only through the mobile ticket. Open it before you reach the venue, when signal is often poor.
- Screenshots: BTS's Gwanghwamun notice refused captured images of the QR code. Assume yours will be refused too.
- Wristband: keep it on. Lost or damaged wristbands weren't reissued at BTS events, and these can't be passed to someone else.
- Age limit: this varies, for example 7+ at DAY6 and 9+ at TXT and ENHYPEN.
- No tickets at the door: both NOL pages say there are no on-site sales.
- Wheelchair seats: bring a physical ID and your disability card or welfare card if the notice asks. Collection is usually in person.
What you can't bring
Lists differ, so treat this as a guide.

|---|---|---|---|
| Bags larger than A3, suitcases | Not stated | Banned | Not stated |

Pets were also banned at the Goyang event. Long umbrellas and banners with poles were banned at Gwanghwamun.
Filming: what the rule rests on
- The show's own rules. This is the rule that will affect you. BTS's Goyang notice bans photos, video, voice recording and livestreaming as copyright infringement. If caught, you delete everything and leave, and the ticket isn't refunded.
- Copyright law. The Ministry of Culture said in December 2023 that distributing illegal performance recordings for profit or habitually can bring up to 5 years in prison or a 50 million won fine.
- Not every event is the same. ONF's 2026 fanmeeting allowed phone photos and video if you didn't disturb others. Check, don't assume.
- You may be filmed too. BTS notices say attendees can appear in footage, and staff may record rule-breaking. Those files are discarded 30 days after the show.
This is general information, not legal advice.
Light sticks and apps
- Bring the official light stick if you want it to join the show's lighting.
- TWS's KSPO DOME notice shows how it works: wireless control, the official light stick app, and pairing booths outside and inside the venue with set hours.
- Self-pairing opened the day before each show, separately for each day. Look for the same in your notice.
- Fit new batteries. That model used three AAA alkaline batteries, and the notice warned that wireless control can stop when they run low.
- Keep your other apps ready: your ticket app for the mobile ticket and Weverse if you're collecting a pre-order.
Official goods line
From TWS's 2026 notice, as an example:
- Booth hours were 11:00 to 17:30 on Saturday and 10:00 to 16:30 on Sunday, so check closing time.
- Cash and cards were accepted, in Korean won only. Some cards can be declined, so carry some cash.
- Purchase limits per item can change on the day.
- Pre-orders use timed pickup. You can't come before your slot.
- Don't queue overnight. The notice asks you not to, and lines may be dispersed.
- Keep your Weverse QR code private. Pickup happens without an ID check, so a shared code can be used by someone else.
- Official items sold only at the booth and on Weverse, so don't buy from street sellers.
Bags and storage
The BTS Seoul event notice (DDP, Sungnyemun, Yeouido) said there was no on-site storage and pointed people to nearby subway lockers. For concert storage, check the venue guide and your show's notice.
Around the venue
- Olympic Park (KSPO DOME): the park bans shade tents and canopies. Don't plan to camp while you wait.
- Crowd safety: on 5 April 2026 a side fence fell at KSPO DOME during a crowd surge and three people were hurt. Don't lean on barriers or push forward.
- Artists' routes: don't wait at entrances or rush vehicles. Fan club notices treat this as grounds for a ban, and this site doesn't cover artists' movements.
FAQ
What do I need to bring to a K-pop concert in Korea?
Your original passport, your phone with the mobile ticket ready, your light stick if you have one, and some cash. Check your show's notice for anything extra, such as a membership card for presale entry.
Can I take photos or videos at K-pop concerts in Korea?
Usually not. Most notices we read ban all recording, and you can be removed without a refund. Some fan events allow phones, so check yours.
Can I bring a camera to a K-pop concert?
Expect no. Notices ban cameras and leave phones as the only device allowed. Professional cameras, tripods and selfie sticks are the usual targets.
