Incheon Airport to Seoul 2026: AREX, Limousine, Taxi, Late Arrivals

Quick answer

Cheapest: AREX all-stop train. 4,750 won from Terminal 1 or 5,350 won from Terminal 2 to Seoul Station with a transit card, 59 or 66 minutes.
Fastest to Seoul Station: AREX Express. 13,000 won, 43 or 51 minutes. It stops only at Seoul Station.
Heavy bags, or heading straight to Jamsil, Gangnam or Myeongdong: limousine bus. 16,000–18,000 won, one seat, no transfers.
Gimpo Airport: take the AREX all-stop train or subway Lines 5 and 9. The Express doesn't stop there.
After about 11:30 p.m.: the last all-stop trains to Seoul Station leave at 23:32 (T2) and 23:38 (T1). After that, use a night bus or taxi.

AREX: all-stop or Express?

The all-stop train works like the subway: tap your transit card. A single-use card costs 100 won more and has a 500 won deposit you get back at your destination. For buying a card, see our guide T-money, WOWPASS & Climate Card. You can't use the Climate Card to board at Incheon Airport stations.

The Express runs non-stop with assigned seats. AREX lists the adult fare as 13,000 won and the child fare as 9,500 won, and also shows a higher "regular fare" of 18,500 won (T1) and 19,100 won (T2). Buy your ticket before boarding, at the Express counter in the B1 Transportation Center at either terminal.

Where: at T1, outside on the 1st floor (Seoul buses are near exits 3–7). At T2, in the B1 Transportation Center.
Tickets: T1 has booths inside by exits 4 and 9 and outside the terminal, plus ticket machines.
Paying: Airport Limousine says ticket holders board first. At T1, its routes 6001, 6002 and 6015 take cash, transit cards or tickets. At T2, you need a ticket.
Bags: Airport Limousine allows 2 bags per person, each under 28 inches and 20 kg. Each extra bag costs 8,000 won. Check other operators' rules.

Taxis

Going straight to a venue

Don't drag a suitcase to the show. Leave it at your hotel, or book a T-Locker subway locker in its app (332 locations, per Incheon Airport). Check your show's notice for venue storage.

Line 1 trap: Guil is on the Incheon branch. At Guro, don't take a train toward Cheonan.
Avoid Gocheok crowds: the venue operator suggests Guro Exit 2 (about 20 min on foot) if you come from Seoul, Suwon or Anyang, and Gaebong Exit 2 (about 15 min) from Incheon or Bucheon.
Same-day arrival? Leave a big buffer for immigration, bags and ticket pickup.

From Gimpo Airport

Subway: take the escalator down from the west end of the domestic terminal's 1st floor. Gimpo Airport Station serves Lines 5 and 9, AREX all-stop trains, the Gimpo Goldline and the Seohae Line.
AREX: 1,750 won to Seoul Station with a transit card, about 23 minutes by timetable. Hongik Univ. is 1,650 won. The last train to Seoul Station is at 00:16. The 00:34 stops at Digital Media City.
Jamsil and Olympic Park: Line 9 goes there with no transfer.
Taxi: the stand is across the crosswalk from domestic exits 6 and 8. It's metered.
International terminal: follow the signs in the arrivals hall.

Landing late at Incheon

Allow time for immigration and bags. If you land after 23:00, you may miss the last train.

After the last train, your choices are a night bus, a taxi, or waiting for the first all-stop train at 05:08 (T2) or 05:14 (T1). The last limousine buses leave between 22:35 and 23:29, by route.

Buses are few. Each route runs only 5–6 times a night. No Seoul night bus leaves T1 between 02:10 and 03:40.
Stops: T1, 1st floor: 3B (N6701, N6703), 6A (N6000, N6002). T2, B1: 18 (N6701), 19 (N6703), 24 (N6002).
Tickets: buy from a booth or machine. N6701 and N6703 also work with the Tmoney GO app. Discount tickets aren't accepted.
Plan your last mile. With no subway before dawn, you may need a taxi from the stop. Save your hotel address in Korean.
